Command Zone, LLC is a media production company specializing in the world of gaming, with a strong  emphasis on Magic: The Gathering. We are dedicated to providing our audience with the most  entertaining and highest-quality content through our podcasts, web series, online videos, and live  events. 

We are seeking a motivated, driven, and hard-working Production Assistant to join our team full-time  and help keep our content operations running smoothly. This is the perfect entry-level job for  someone passionate about both Magic: The Gathering and filmmaking.

Production Assistant Functions 

• Aid with general office upkeep, maintenance, and organization. 
• Work with producers, directors, editors, and other staff to ensure that priorities are met and aligned.
• Perform quality control on various video and audio assets. 
• Support the maintenance of accurate company calendars and schedules, administrative forms,  notes, and vital communications in an organized manner. 
• Facilitate correspondence between project contributors, including contractors.
• Participate in creating and organizing footage and assets required for videos and other projects.
• Project-based research and troubleshooting. 
• Assist with in-house shipping and merchandise fulfillment. 
• Help set up and break down equipment and sets for production and other events.
• Monitor traditional media, online video platforms, and social media to stay up to date on current MTG trends and discourse. 
• Expand expertise and learn to use post-production “Tools of the Trade” (Examples: Adobe  Premiere Pro, Photoshop, After Effects, Unreal Engine, etc.) 
• Other duties and projects as required.

Additional Qualifications: 

The following are not required but they are a plus: 

• Experience working in TV, film, commercial, and/or online videos (in any capacity). 
• Production experience of any kind (PA work, lighting, sound, editing, cinematography, etc.)
• Proficient and knowledgeable of various social media platforms (YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.) 
• Trained in using small tools and/or work experience in construction.

Willing to train the right candidate: The most essential qualification skills are the ability and desire to learn.

Role Requirements 

• High School Diploma or equivalent. 
• Valid Driver’s License and qualified to drive for work purposes. 
• Successful completion of background and reference checks and proof of authorization to work in  the United States. 
• Must be located in the Greater Los Angeles area (this role is not remote, and relocation is not an  option). 
• Must have access to a reliable vehicle.

Physical Requirements

• Position may require employees to bend, walk, stand, lift, crouch, stoop, crawl, squat, or kneel for  extended periods of time. 
• Position may require employees to lift 50 pounds or more daily and operate hand and power tools  regularly. 
• Position may require occasional exposure to outdoor environmental conditions, including extreme heat, cold, wet, and dry conditions. 
• Position may require employees to sit for extended periods of time while using electronic devices and, therefore, may be subject to extended exposure to screens, as well as exposure to inadequate lighting.
