BECOME A GAME KNIGHT!

We’re holding auditions for you to become a guest on GAME KNIGHTS! Show your spell-slinging skills to the world as you battle-it-out in a game of Commander on the popular webseries from The Command Zone. The chosen guests will be flown out to sunny southern California for the chance to hang out with the our team, become knighted, and play on camera for an episode of Game Knights.

Please note: There is not currently an exact recording date for this fan episode. After the guests are chosen, we will work with them in regards to their schedule, to make sure we pick a filming date that they can attend. Extremely limited availability, on the part of any chosen guest, may cause forfeiture of their spot. Likely, we’re looking at a recording date sometime in Q4 of 2023 or Q1 of 2024

HOW TO ENTER:

In a video, tell us a compelling story from a game of Commander! It can be a surprising come-from-behind victory, a crucial mistake at the exact wrong moment, a hilarious unintended card interaction, or anything else that displays why you love this crazy format.

Only one audition will be accepted per Patreon account. It cannot be longer than 3 minutes in length and should not be edited. Video and audio quality do not matter as long as we can see who you are and understand what you’re saying (feel free to record it on your phone). We’re looking for the perfect guest who fits what Game Knights is all about – be animated, passionate, articulate, genuine, and fun! Don’t worry about scripting your story or saying the exact right words. Who you are and how your personality shines through on camera is much more important than the specifics of what you’re saying.

Post your audition video to YouTube (it can be set to public or unlisted) and email us the link to contact@commandzone.com with the subject heading “PATREON AUDITION FOR GAME KNIGHTS – 2023”. Also, make sure to state your full name, Patreon username ID, whether you’re an annual supporter or not, age and where you’re from at the beginning of your audition video. (Note: if you have auditioned in past years, it is 100% ok to audition again. Several of our past winners had auditioned 2-3 times previously, before they were chosen.)

RESTRICTIONS:

• Must be an active supporter of The Command Zone’s Patreon (www.patreon.com/commandzone)
  NOTE: It is okay to sign up for Patreon in order to audition!
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
  (Apologies to our younger fans. This requirement exists for legal reasons.)
• All videos must be received by 11:00pm PST on September 15th, 2023.
• All videos must be no more than 3 minutes in length.
  (We’re super serious about this. If your video is one second too long, you will be disqualified)
• Applicants from all around the world will be accepted, however the airfare and travel offer is only valid to legal residents of the United States.
• All entrants agree to be bound by the CONDITIONS FOR SUBMISSION (see below).

WINNER NOTIFICATION:

The winners will be announced in a future episode of our podcast.

CONDITIONS FOR SUBMISSION:

Unless otherwise proscribed by law, by submitting any content to The Command Zone or Game Knights (“TCZ”), including text, audio, video, photo, or other content (“Entry Content”) as part of your participation in this event:

You hereby grant to TCZ and its affiliates, subsidiaries, licensees and assigns, an irrevocable, perpetual, freely sublicensable and royalty-free right to use, reproduce, edit, display, transmit, prepare derivative works of, modify, publish and otherwise make use of the submitted Entry Content in any and all media, whether now known or hereinafter created, throughout the universe and for any purpose. The rights granted to TCZ include but are not limited to the right to resize, crop, censor, compress, edit, feature, caption, affix logos to, and otherwise alter or make use of the submitted Entry Content;

You hereby represent and warrant (i) that the Entry Content does not and shall not infringe on any copyright, any rights of privacy or publicity, or any other right of any third party, and (ii) that you have the right to grant any and all rights and licenses granted to TCZ herein, including but not limited to all necessary rights under copyright, free and clear of any claims or encumbrances;

You acknowledge and agree that TCZ shall have no obligation to post, display or otherwise make publicly available any Entry Content submitted by you, and may, in its sole and unfettered discretion, remove, edit, modify or delete any Entry Content that you submit to TCZ;

You understand and intend that any Entry Content submitted by you to TCZ may be available for viewing, rating, review and comment on by the public, and understand that comments or ratings which you dislike or with which you disagree may be published or otherwise become associated with any Entry Content you submit to TCZ. By submitting any Entry Content to TCZ, you hereby waive any privacy expectations that you may have with respect to any such Entry Content submitted by you to TCZ;

You hereby agree to hold TCZ and its directors, officers, employees, affiliated entities, agents, contractors, insurers, advertisers, sponsors, licensees, and assignees (the “TCZ Parties”) harmless from and against, and hereby waive any right to pursue, any claims of any nature arising in connection with the inclusion in, publication via or display on any TCZ site, or any other use authorized under these Terms, of any Entry Content submitted to TCZ by you; and

You acknowledge that Entry Content submitted by you shall be the property of TCZ, and TCZ shall have no obligation to preserve, return or otherwise make available to you or others any Entry Content so submitted.
